Exciting news… We are thrilled and honored to announce a special guest for our “Step Up for the South Bronx” virtual fundraiser: the great Ben Folds!

The virtual event will kick off at 7pm on Thursday, May 6th. It will serve to educate viewers about our organization and our mission… and, of course, to bring you an outstanding evening of entertainment from Mr. Folds. Click here to register today!

In 2020, Step Up for Better Living provided access to rental assistance and $500,000 towards food for NYC’s most impoverished community. In response to Covid-19, we helped provide meals to thousands of families in the South Bronx. The proceeds of this event will continue those efforts and ensure housing security and access to food for families that need it the most.

Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation.

He’s created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben FoldsFive, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that soared to #1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.

In addition to solo rock and orchestral touring, Folds released his memoir in 2019, which debuted as a New York Times Best Seller, and is now hosting a new podcast series on the subject of creativity entitled “A Dream About Lightning Bugs: Conversations with Ben Folds.”
