Step Up for Better Living hosted a Health and Wellness Workshop on November 7, 2016. There were 45 enthusiastic participants. The energy level was spirited. The Health and Wellness Workshop turned out to be a successful event. Mayelin Salecedo, the Marketing Outreach Specialist of Wellcare gave a presentation on healthy living and healthy meal ideas. Nancy Marrero, Marketing Enroller Specialist, gave a brief presentation for the uninsured and the underinsured. After which, she made appointments with several clients to have a discussion in a more private environment. Wellcare provided some take away items, which included healthy snacks for the participants. At the end of the workshop we held a Q&A. Participants were asked, “who are we?” They responded in a chant, “Step Up for Better Living, Step Up for Better Living, Step Up for Better Living.” At the end of the chants we gave out Step Up for Better Living backpacks in our tranquil blue.
